I just discovered that IE8 won't work with Dreamwidth. When I went to friend you, I couldn't log in - it just hung. I ended up doing it with Firefox. I have no idea why this is. I have the same problem with Amazon, but not with LJ.
Oh - did you know that you can import your LJ entries into dreamwidth - or export dreamwidth to LJ? Seems lazy to me, so I won't do it. But it's an available tool.

I use Firefox primarily, but I've run into a couple of client portals that won't work with anything but IE. I don't even try to understand it - there's too many other things to learn in this world. Anyway, I'm glad you're on and we're connected here. Just reassures me - :-)
Hmmm - that was IE9, not 8, but 8 did it, too. There must be something in my settings that stayed on when I upgraded to IE9. Hopefully when I install Win7, which I'll do as a clean install, the legacy problems will vanish. Hopefully ...
